Premium 12 Cup Silicone Muffin Pan & Cupcake Baking Pan by BrilliantChef

I have been meaning to try one of these silicone baking pans for awhile now, so I was excited when mine arrived in the mail.   My little girls LOVE that it’s pink!  It comes with a spatula, pastry brush and paper cups.  The spatula and pastry brush I didn’t really need, but it definitely doesn’t hurt to have extra (and if it’s a gift, it’s great to give them).  The paper cups were a nice addition because honestly I’m always running out of those things!  Someone mentioned a smell to the pan  – I didn’t notice it, but then again as soon as I got it I threw it in the dishwasher.  It’s nice to not have to worry about a pan that gets the little rusty stuff on the edges!  They do recommend to use a baking sheet underneath so you don’t have to worry about it being too flimsy.  I included pictures pre and post baking – someday I will figure out how to fill a muffin cup 2/3 of the way up!  The muffins baked very well, I’d say I loved them but it was a new recipe for me and it still needs some tweaking of the flavor profile.  But that’s the fault of my recipe, not the pan! The paper cups did have some stuff stuck to them, but honestly that always happens when I bake muffins or cupcakes.  I do want to still try baking without the paper cups to see how that will work out.  Overall I’m extremely pleased with the product and would definitely recommend it!

Scattered Focus

I tend to be a bit scattered in my focus as I hop from around different things.  Lately I’ve been interested in ways to make money on the internet.  I played around with some transcriptions.. I type fast, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to speedy transcriptions I’m finding. I think you really  need the foot pedal thing.  I’ve done some Mturk things via Amazon.  I’ve found a couple blogs that talk about different places you can join – opinion surveys, bzzzagent, one space, user testing..  nothing is really feeling that worthwhile at this point.  Part of me wants to just get a job in the real world, but with the girls only in school three half-days a week it just isn’t really feasible.  I’ll continue to poke around online to see if I find anything that seems to fit me.  Maybe what I really need to do is focus on one at a time.  Spend 2-3 days working with just one website to see if it’s a good fit for me vs jumping around like I am today (see, scattered)!
